1 Day: 7 AM – 7 PM
1 Night: 7PM -7AM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will provide essential medical care and support to patients in a nursing home setting. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall well-being and comfort of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes or concerns
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living
- Perform specimen collection processing and other diagnostic procedures
- Catheterize patients when necessary and provide appropriate care
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Valid LPN license
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Proficient in specimen collection processing techniques
- Ability to catheterize patients and provide appropriate care
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records
