Position: Electrical Installer (Temp)

Location: Brooklyn, NY (with travel throughout NYC)

Reports to: Electrical Installation Manager

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; (some evenings/weekends) (Hours may vary) Nonexempt

Duration: November 17, 2025- December 31, 2025

About the Position:

Electrical Installers work in teams of 2-3 to complete installation of electrical equipment,

conduit and wiring, and generally contribute to the completion of installations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain compliance with and enforce all OSHA safety rules and protocols for the company. 
• Promote job site safety, ensure safe work practices, and rectify job site hazard.
• Perform work to BSW standards.
• Responsible for being familiar with electrical aspects of BSW systems
• Communicate with the crew lead and rest of the team on the day's activities, progress and
• success.
• Report to crew leads any issues that arise during installation.
• Work variable hours.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise.
• Drive to the associated job locations for each day’s appointment, as assigned by Crew

Lead / Manager.

• Remain on site until the crew lead/ manager clears the team to leave.
• Clean up job sites and pack out all unused materials after job completion.
• Ensure that the electrical system is properly grounded.
• Install electrical wiring, including conduits, wire, and other components.
• Carry out additional duties as required by Crew lead/ Manager.

Required Skill Set:

• Valid NYS driver’s license (Minimum of 3 years not including permit) 
• A clean driving record is required.
• At least 2 years of construction experience.
• Osha 30 Required.
• Osha 10 (SST) Required.
• Physically able to lift up to 50lbs or more.
• Required to stand or walk for long periods at a time.
• Conduit bending.
• Familiarity with power tools (Drill, Angle Grinder, Impact Driver, Reciprocating Saw (Sawzall), Hammer Drill, and Heat Gun).
• Demonstrated reliability with strong attendance and punctuality.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable working on ladders and on roofs.
• Comfortable working in electrical panels.
• Strong time management skills.
• Good customer relation skills.

Preferred Skill Set:

• Knowledge of solar equipment is strongly preferred.
• A passion for Brooklyn SolarWork’s mission.

Compensation & Mobility Potential:

• Entry level: $23-27/hr
