What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor,Rad-Diag-Non Exempt position at Brooklyn Hospital Center?
Responsible for coordinating daily caseload and staff assignments, equipment maintenance and documentation / implementation of quality assurance program.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of AMA approved two (2) year program in Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum five (5) years as staff Technologist
- Supervisory experience – Preferred
- Knowledge of CT/Special Procedures – Preferred
- Current New York State license in Radiologic Technology
- Certification from the American Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Knowledge of modern hospital administration, principles and practices.
- Knowledge of practices and procedures including accounting, finance, purchasing, personnel, facilities, office procedures and records and specific related supporting services within the department.
- Thorough knowledge of modern patient care and management principles as applied to radiologic technology.
- Knowledge of principles, and procedures involved in the operation of radiologic equipment.
- Ability to analyze operational data, employ approved management techniques and obtain maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ability to effectively coordinate various division functions and activities for maximum operation and efficiency.
- Ability to direct, instruct, and advise division supervisors in the approved methods, procedures and practices employed in effective administration.
- Ability to receive and effectively react to day-to-day problems presented by the division supervisors and others.
- Ability to interpret the established policies into operational procedures and to execute hospital programs.
- Ability to work effectively and smoothly with radiologist and other members of the medical staff as required.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the employees and the public.
