What are the responsibilities and job description for the After-School Program Director position at Brooklyn Chinese-American Association?
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and coordinating the overall program operations at an assigned youth program school site
- Planning the program together with the School and BCA Management Team
- Coordinating with and supervising program staff and volunteers to implement the program
- Coordinating with school personnel to ensure the smooth operation of the program
- Planning and coordinating all program related activities (e.g. outreach, curriculum planning, staff development, etc.)
- Planning and implementing activities to facilitate parent and community involvement
- Coordinating with community partners and cultural partners to enhance the program
- Exploring and securing more community resources for the proposed program
- Conduct program evaluations to assess participants’ achievements of goals and target outcomes, to monitor program attendance and other records, as well as to prepare program reports
- Providing case management services
Qualifications:
- a B.A. in education or a related field of study preferably
- Two years of teaching/youth services experience preferably
- Fluency in Chinese dialects a big plus
- Professional or voluntary experiences in social services a plus
- A minimum of two (2) professional references regarding prior job performance
