Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Brookline, MA. The role entails ensuring public safety, maintaining law and order, and providing assistance during emergencies. Daily responsibilities may include patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents, enforcing local, state, and federal laws, and collaborating with the community. Additional tasks include preparing detailed reports, participating in court proceedings, and engaging in ongoing training programs to stay updated on best practices in law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with community members and colleagues
• Proficient in incident reporting, investigative techniques, and law enforcement procedures
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, solve problems, and make decisions quickly
• Physical fitness to meet the demands of active patrol, emergency response, and safety enforcement
• Familiarity with applicable local, state, and federal laws
• Computer literacy to utilize department systems and software efficiently
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate police vehicles safely
• Completion of required law enforcement training programs or academies (mandatory)
• Prior experience in law enforcement or a related field is a plus but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in criminal justice or related fields preferred
