Brookhaven Treatment & Learning Center is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and collaborative **Classroom Teacher to join our multidisciplinary team.
Brookhaven is a Vermont-approved independent therapeutic school serving students in grades 4–10 whose emotional, behavioral, and learning needs require a highly individualized educational environment. Our students thrive through small class sizes, trauma-informed practices, relationship-based teaching, and close collaboration among educational, clinical, and residential staff.
Responsibilities
* Provide engaging, individualized instruction aligned with Vermont standards and student goals.
* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
* Create a structured, positive, and trauma-informed classroom environment.
* Monitor student progress and maintain educational documentation.
* Collaborate with clinicians, residential staff, families, and sending school districts.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development.
Qualifications
* Vermont educator licensure (or eligibility) appropriate for the position.
* Experience working with students with social-emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges preferred.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and positive behavior supports.
* Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
