Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying insurance information and collecting co-payments.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls or messages to appropriate team members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations.
- Assist dermatology providers with administrative coordination, including updating patient charts and handling referrals or lab requisitions.
- Verify insurance eligibility and assist with authorizations or billing-related inquiries.
- Coordinate communication with pharmacies, laboratories, and referring physicians as needed.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the reception and waiting areas.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, clinical staff, and the dermatology team to promote high-quality care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or medical office training preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a medical front office or healthcare-related customer service role.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and standard office software.
