About the Role

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Director, Finance will serve as the senior finance owner for an assigned portfolio of U.S. renewable power and transition businesses. The Director will develop deep expertise in the companies they cover and provide end-to-end finance leadership across reporting, forecasting, valuation, business planning, liquidity, integration, and strategic initiatives. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that partners closely with Asset Management, Investment, and portfolio company leadership and provides the opportunity to influence both day-to-day performance and longer-term value creation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the finance mandate for a defined group of portfolio companies, developing deep knowledge of each business, operating drivers, capital structure, financial risks, and value-creation priorities
  • Serve as the primary AM Finance partner to portfolio company CFOs, assigned asset managers, and key Brookfield stakeholders, providing continuity, accountability, and clear escalation of issues
  • Lead quarterly and annual AM Finance reporting, monthly forecast reviews, and annual business planning for assigned companies, including review and challenge of results, KPIs, operating assumptions, capital requirements, distributions, and value-creation initiatives
  • Prepare executive-ready summaries and presentations and coordinate with tax, corporate FP&A, accounting, and other functional teams on reporting and business plan requirements.
  • Lead the quarterly fund valuations process, including DCF models, IRR analysis, sensitivities, valuation bridges, supporting documentation, and review of assumptions with management, Asset Management, and/or Investments
  • Lead liquidity reporting and forecasting, including equity requirements, distributions, working capital, and other cash needs, and coordinate fund credit support such as bridge loans, guarantees, and letters of credit
  • Lead finance integration for newly acquired assets and help establish or enhance portfolio company finance functions, including reporting, forecasting, models, controls, and governance
  • Partner with Investments and Asset Management on strategic initiatives and transactions
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture focused on accountability, analytical rigor, continuous improvement, and practical problem solving

 

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • 8 years of progressive finance experience within asset management, renewable power, infrastructure, private equity, corporate finance, FP&A, valuation, or a related field
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience owning reporting, forecasting, business planning, valuation, and complex financial analyses across multiple businesses or operating assets
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including DCF valuation, IRR analysis, sensitivities, and the ability to review and improve complex models
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP is preferred but not required
  • Experience with liquidity forecasting, capital planning, credit support, transaction execution, or new investment integration is highly desirable
  • Prior experience in power, utilities, infrastructure, renewable energy, or transition-related businesses is strongly preferred
  • Proven senior-stakeholder communication, business judgment, organization, and people leadership skills, with the ability to operate independently and build trusted relationships across teams

 

 Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site to perform most effectively.

 Salary: $160,000 - $185,000, bonus eligible.
