Modal Power is a Solar IPP which owns a ~2.3GW portfolio of fifteen operating projects, four under-construction projects, and three pre-NTP assets.

About the Role
The Paralegal/Contract Administrator will be responsible for maintaining corporate records, and for the management, administration, tracking and compliance of a large variety of contracts related to the development, construction, financing, and operation of renewable energy generation projects, including credit agreements, tax equity agreements, power purchase agreements, and joint venture agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain corporate records and authorizations
- Oversee implementation of CLM system and migration of project documents.
- Manage contract databases and systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records. Identify and implement process improvements in the administration, tracking and reporting of contracts.
- Develop and implement systems to monitor and ensure performance and compliance of a large variety of contracts. Identify gaps in compliance procedures and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement contract compliance programs, reports, and contracts. Collaborate with internal teams to address compliance-related questions and policies.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on contract compliance matters, including contract terms and obligations. Develop and maintain reference materials allowing internal stakeholders to quickly look up terms and requirements of various contracts.
- Monitor and coordinate contract renewals, extensions, and terminations in a timely manner. Facilitates contract closeouts.
- Prepare reports and presentations on contract status, performance metrics, and key findings for senior management.
- Oversee creation of transactional data rooms and other diligence vehicles as part of financing, acquisition, and divestiture activities
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Bachelors degree and paralegal certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years relevant in-house experience in contract compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs with a project based company
- Significant experience with managing AI-powered CLM programs (e.g., LinkSquares, IronClad, Docusign, etc)
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and contract interpretation
- Experience in renewable energy would be a plus
- Strong attention to detail; working in a conscientious, consistent, and thorough manner
- Solid analytical skills, strategic thinking, and decision-making ability
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders
- Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
Salary: $95,000 - $125,000, bonus eligible.
