Overview:
Assists the Program Director with all aspects of the development and implementation program. Facilitates sessions with youth and with their caregivers and ensures that sufficient supplies and other materials are available for these sessions. Mentors’ students and interns and provide supervision when the Program Director is not available.
Responsibilities:
Assists the Program Director in all aspects of the management and implementation of the Sexual Rish Avoidance Education program.- Orders supplies and other materials needed to implement the various activities and sessions with children participating in the SRAE program, including locating the items, completing Purchase Requisitions and tracking the status of the orders.
- Facilitates SRAE held with participants in after-school programs, community centers and other venues, and with caregivers at these venues.
- Assists in the gathering of data and the completion of reports required by the NYS DOH and other funders or regulatory bodies.
- Mentors students and interns placed in the SRAE program.
- Develop and oversees scheduling of children’s groups and parenting sessions.
- Supervises the Community Health Worker in the absence of the Program Director.
Experience supervising programs and facilitating group activities, particularly for the targeted age group; Understanding of scheduling, expenditures, materials, and other issues relevant to the implementation of a program.- Ability to collaborate with community-based organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
