The ideal candidate will have strong musical theatre vocal experience and a passion for mentoring student performers while collaborating closely with the production team.ResponsibilitiesAssist with auditions, including teaching vocal cuts, assessing vocal skills, and supporting casting decisionsPrepare and distribute vocal practice tracks for students (individual parts and ensemble as needed)Lead full ensemble vocal rehearsals, ensuring musical accuracy, blend, diction, and styleProvide individualized vocal instruction and coaching for: oSolo numbersoDuets, trios, and small group songsWork collaboratively with the Director, Pit Director, and Choreographer to integrate vocals with staging and musicAssist during April Vacation by teaching vocals alongside Drama Director with acting rehearsalsSupport vocal health, technique, and confidence in student performers3-4 rehearsals per week March through MayQualificationsStrong background in vocal music and musical theatre preferredExperience teaching and coaching student musicians (vocalists)Ability to teach vocal parts clearly and efficientlyProficiency in creating rehearsal and practice tracks (preferred)Excellent communication and organizational skillsCollaborative and supportive teaching styleCompensation: $3,000 per BEA Contract
