Brock & Scott, PLLC is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and brings a strategic approach to foreclosure litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and approve foreclosure-related pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
- Manage a high-volume foreclosure litigation caseload from referral through resolution, including contested matters.
- Handle all aspects of contested foreclosure litigation, including strategy development, issue spotting, and case progression.
- Represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, and other court appearances, both telephonic and in person.
- Draft and respond to substantive motions, discovery, objections, and other litigation-related filings as needed.
- Review loan documents, title work, and chains of title to ensure accuracy and identify potential legal issues.
- Communicate with clients regarding case status, litigation strategy, risk assessment, and case developments.
- Partner with internal legal staff, support teams, and management to ensure cases are moving timely and in compliance with client and court requirements.
- Maintain compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and client-specific expectations.
- Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
- Prior litigation experience preferred; foreclosure and/or creditors’ rights experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to independently manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong courtroom presence and confidence handling hearings, mediations, and contested matters.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients, courts, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to assess issues, problem-solve, and make sound legal decisions in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Work environment: This position is hybrid out of our Tampa, FL office.
