What are the responsibilities and job description for the EDDA dental assistant position at Broadway Family & Cosmetic Dentistry?
Looking for a professional, energetic expanded function dental assistant for our private general practice in Lexington, Ky. Needed Monday through Thursday and occasional Friday's.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures - class I to IV fillings, temporary crowns, coronal polishing, sealants
- Full mouth x-rays and digital scanning.
- In office Cerec and PrimePrint
- Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
- Take digital radiographs (Dexis)
- Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, provide patients with instructions for oral care, etc..
- We utilize Dentrix software and Trios scanner- willing to training
Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Spanish Speaking is a plus
- EDDA certification and CPR certified
