Job Description:
The Field Performance Advisor (FPA) is responsible for driving optimal performance and continuous improvement among Suppliers through regular site visits, direct engagement, and real-time issue resolution. This role leverages strong construction, quality, and operational expertise to evaluate supplier performance, troubleshoot discrepancies, ensure compliance, and provide strategic recommendations. FPAs act as Ericsson representatives in the field, partnering closely with Suppliers and internal stakeholders to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and standardization across markets.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work/industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general construction processes and procedures.
- Experience managing general contractors and construction scopes (Civils, Ground, L&A, Backhaul, Maintenance).
- Experience providing design solutions and guidance on order of operations.
- Knowledge and enforcement of Ericsson and customer construction/quality standards.
- Strong customer interface skills.
- Understanding of contracts and financial considerations.
- Proven ability to collaborate with suppliers and external partners.
- Experience influencing or leading teams.
- Strong understanding of applicable health & safety regulations.
- OSHA 30 (telecommunications industry) required.
- Previous experience with Ericsson equipment is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze site performance metrics (cycle time, COP first-time-right, JHA compliance, tool utilization, build quality).
- Identify supplier performance gaps and provide actionable feedback to suppliers and Territory Directors.
- Conduct on-site root cause analysis and ensure correction of real-time safety and construction discrepancies.
- Strategically plan site and supplier visits to drive market performance and meet KPIs.
- Support internal teams with customer meets, site access, drawing validation, and project completion needs.
- Design and develop process improvements and tool enhancements based on performance data.
- Collaborate with FPAs nationwide to identify systemic issues and propose cross-market improvements.
- Collect and report supplier performance data to support business cases and process trials.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to foster continuous improvement.
- Ensure supplier understanding and adherence to Ericsson and customer processes and tools.
- Provide feedback to improve training content and accuracy.
- Support quarterly business reviews (QBRs) by reporting field findings and driving action items.
