Responsible for scheduling multiple imaging exams for referring physicians and patients in a professional and friendly manner. Gather and input insurance data and patient demographics and providing quality customer service while creating the best first impression for our patients.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Answers a multi-line phone system in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Schedules appointments for multiple radiology clinical sites, assuring the diagnosis is appropriate for the exam ordered.
- Obtains and enters accurate demographic and insurance information into our RIS system.
- Provides exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Accurately updates and maintains patient information within the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Utilizes Medical Terminology to communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff.
- Demonstrates strong Communication Skills through clear verbal and written interactions.
- Executes precise Data Entry for patient demographics, appointments, and billing information.
- Ensures strict HIPAA Compliance in all patient interactions and data handling, safeguarding patient privacy.
- Leverages Microsoft Office suite for various administrative tasks, including documentation and correspondence.
- Applies excellent Organizational Skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain orderly records, and prioritize effectively.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- One year of experience in a healthcare administrative or medical office setting.
- Knowledge of radiologic procedures desirable
- Good computer and customer service skills a must
- Knowledge of medical terminology desirable
