The Clinical Interviewer plays a critical role in our healthcare team, serving as the initial point of contact for patients. This position involves conducting comprehensive interviews to gather essential medical, social, and psychological information. Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts thorough Clinical Interviewing with patients, collecting detailed and accurate information about their health history, symptoms, and relevant life circumstances.
- Applies Active Listening skills to fully understand patient narratives, concerns, and needs, ensuring all pertinent details are captured.
- Performs Patient Assessment by gathering data that supports initial evaluations and ongoing care planning.
- Executes systematic Data Collection, ensuring all information is complete, precise, and adheres to established protocols.
- Manages Documentation of all interview findings and patient interactions accurately and promptly within designated systems.
- Establishes strong Rapport Building with patients, creating a comfortable and trusting environment that encourages open communication.
- Ensures strict HIPAA Compliance and Confidentiality in all patient interactions and data handling, safeguarding sensitive information.
- Demonstrates Empathy and compassion, providing a supportive and non-judgmental experience for every patient.
- Utilizes Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems efficiently for data entry, retrieval, and management of patient information.
- Collaborates with clinical staff to clarify information and support comprehensive patient care.
Required Qualifications
What you will need to be successful:
- High school diploma or GED
- One year minimum preferably in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of radiologic procedures desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology desirable
- Good computer and customer service skills a must

- Proficient in Clinical Interviewing techniques and best practices.
- Exhibits exceptional Active Listening and verbal communication skills.
- Understands principles of Patient Assessment and data gathering.
- Skilled in accurate and systematic Data Collection.
- Competent in Documentation practices, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Adept at Rapport Building with diverse patient populations.
- Possesses thorough knowledge of HIPAA Compliance regulations and patient Confidentiality standards.
- Displays strong Empathy and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other relevant software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish.
