Position Summary
Location: Vernon, CA (on-site)
Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Wage: $18.00-$22.00/hr depending on experience
The Sales Support provides administrative and operational support to the sales team while maintaining strong relationships with customers. This role is responsible for order entry, shipment coordination, customer communication, and assisting the sales team in achieving sales objectives.
This position works closely with the Regional Sales Manager, Outside Sales representatives, and internal departments to ensure efficient processing of customer orders and timely resolution of customer inquiries or concerns.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Order Management and Logistics
- Accurately enter drop-ship purchase orders including pricing, destination information, product selection, and quantity increments.
- Generate shipping labels using carrier systems (e.g., FedEx or UPS) in accordance with customer and company shipping requirements.
- Monitor and analyze drop-ship order status reports and provide tracking information to customers within required timelines.
- Assist sales team members with order processing, specification sheet requests, product availability confirmations, and drop-ship quotations.
Customer Service and Sales Support
- Present, promote, and support the sale of meat products and related services through informed recommendations to existing and prospective customers.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Coordinate with the Regional Sales Manager to resolve customer concerns or complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Document product complaints and forward them to the Accounts Receivable Administrator to ensure accurate tracking and archival of complaint records.
Sales Coordination
- Support the sales team in achieving defined sales targets and outcomes established by Sales Management.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer needs, product opportunities, market trends, and competitive activity.

Additional Duties
- Provide administrative and operational assistance to the Regional Sales Manager and Outside Sales team.
- Support product promotions, market research, and other sales initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
Work Environment
- Primarily indoor work environment including office areas and occasional work in refrigerated or freezer storage areas.
- May require interaction with warehouse or distribution environments.
- Company maintains a drug- and alcohol-free workplace in compliance with company policy and applicable law.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Relevant work experience in sales support, customer service, logistics, or related fields.
- Prior experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or grocery retail industries is a plus.
