BroadFutures is seeking a dynamic Program Administrator to support our mission and growing impact. You will help deliver programs that empower neurodivergent young people while also guiding employers in creating more inclusive workplaces.
The ideal candidate is committed to supporting neurodivergent individuals and advancing workplace inclusion. You will manage the administration of our core internship and training programs in the Washington, DC area, including logistics, participant and employer support, and overall program execution
Who We Are
BroadFutures is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC, serving neurodivergent young people (ages 18–26) through programs that combine training, mentoring, and paid internships. We offer in-person programming in Washington, DC, and virtual programs nationwide.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Program Support & Delivery
- Collaborate with the Program team to implement BroadFutures' programming effectively.
- Coordinate program logistics and ensure smooth operations and program delivery.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of mission-aligned, effective curriculum for all programming.
- Coordinate and deliver workshops and programming to local educational institutions and community organizations.
Participant Selection & Support
- Assist in selecting and assessing program candidates.
- Conduct candidate interviews and reference checks.
- Present interviewed candidates at admissions meetings.
- Serve as a coach and mentor, supporting participants' professional growth through goal-setting and strategy development.
- Support employer partners by ensuring intern success and employer satisfaction while also deepening our employer relationships.
Intern Outreach & Community Engagement
- Assist and contribute to intern outreach activities through delivery of workshops and information sessions.
- Act as an ambassador for BroadFutures at community events to promote our mission.
- Represent BroadFutures at information sessions, outreach events, and marketing initiatives.
To be successful in this job, you will excel in several areas:
- Mission-Driven: Inspired by BroadFutures’ mission, you bring passion and enthusiasm to your work. You have a deep understanding of neurodiversity—ideally through lived experience—and are dedicated to fostering inclusive workplaces.
- Program Delivery & Direct Support Experience: 3–5 years of program delivery and facilitation, ideally in education or workforce development serving neurodivergent youth. Strong coordination and operational skills. Experience as an employment consultant, transition specialist, or job coach is a plus.
- Relationship Builder: Collaborative with exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant Educational Background: Undergraduate and graduate degrees in areas that are relevant to our work, including education, disability studies, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, transition, and counseling.
- Effective Communicator: Clear, persuasive communicator in both written and verbal skills.
- Entrepreneurial: Creative and adaptable, thrive in dynamic environments where you can innovate solutions. Comfortable navigating unexpected and ever-changing circumstances.
- Organizational Skills: Excel at multitasking while maintaining attention to detail.
- Salary: $60,000–$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
- Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance, short-term disability, employer-contributed retirement plan, four weeks of paid time off (PTO), and 12 paid holidays.
- Work Environment: Hybrid work model requiring three days a week in the office; position based in Washington, DC.
