Project Controls Specialist – Construction Scheduling

Our client supports complex infrastructure and mission-critical construction projects across the U.S., with a strong emphasis on planning, scheduling, and execution. They are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to lead schedule development and analysis for large-scale projects, including data centers and other high-complexity environments.


Location & Travel

This role is based in Kansas City, MO. Candidates must reside locally or be willing to travel regularly to active project sites as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules using Primavera P6
  • Build and refine schedule logic based on engineering plans, procurement timelines, and construction sequencing
  • Track project progress and perform critical path and schedule risk analysis
  • Identify delays, float erosion, and potential impacts; recommend mitigation and recovery strategies
  • Produce look-ahead schedules, milestone tracking, and progress reporting
  • Coordinate schedules with permitting, utility tie-ins, and material deliveries
  • Participate in project meetings and support stakeholder reporting

Qualifications

  • 5 years of construction scheduling experience on complex or mission-critical projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination
  • Ability to interpret engineering and civil drawings
  • Experience with CPM scheduling and performance analysis
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with reporting tools is a plus
  • PMP or PSP certification preferred

Salary : $70 - $85
