Our client supports complex infrastructure and mission-critical construction projects across the U.S., with a strong emphasis on planning, scheduling, and execution. They are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to lead schedule development and analysis for large-scale projects, including data centers and other high-complexity environments.
Location & Travel
This role is based in Kansas City, MO. Candidates must reside locally or be willing to travel regularly to active project sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules using Primavera P6
- Build and refine schedule logic based on engineering plans, procurement timelines, and construction sequencing
- Track project progress and perform critical path and schedule risk analysis
- Identify delays, float erosion, and potential impacts; recommend mitigation and recovery strategies
- Produce look-ahead schedules, milestone tracking, and progress reporting
- Coordinate schedules with permitting, utility tie-ins, and material deliveries
- Participate in project meetings and support stakeholder reporting
Qualifications
- 5 years of construction scheduling experience on complex or mission-critical projects
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination
- Ability to interpret engineering and civil drawings
- Experience with CPM scheduling and performance analysis
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with reporting tools is a plus
- PMP or PSP certification preferred
Salary : $70 - $85
