What We Seek...
We are looking for an individual who is motivated and hardworking to handle our incoming materials for the production process, as well as processing outgoing shipments. This person is responsible for ensuring all materials are properly received and physically located within the facility. This is a key member of the production team who is focused on knowing the status of all materials coming in and all jobs that are currently in process.
Job Summary and Job Functions
- Support the Production Team to ensure proper inventory levels are established, adjusted, and maintained
- Receive/unload all incoming materials
- Inspect all incoming shipments for issues
- Maintain clean and organized warehouse and material storage areas
- Stock incoming parts/materials
- Assist the Accounting and Materials Manager with the order receiving process, including shipment receiving status, invoice/pack slip reconciliation, and paperwork collection
- Assist with completing monthly inventory count
- Perform counts, as necessary, and adjust inventory

Requirements
- Previous material handling experience preferred
- Obtain a Chauffeur’s License and MDOT Road Certification to operate the company’s box truck for deliveries
- Basic understanding of personal computers
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus
- Quick reaction times to short deadlines.
- Knowledge and understanding of material transactions and storage processes
- Clean driving record as defined by Britten’s insurance policy
- Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment
- Ability to problem solve where there is not a standard process
- Able to operate and maintain a forklift license

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time
- Feeling. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
- Subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level
- Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
