What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026 BWMS CampU-Teacher position at Brittany Woods Middle School?
Qualifications:
Teaching candidates will be expected to plan for highly engaging in-person learning instruction with clear daily learning objectives for the purpose of student credit recovery. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Canvas and designing content for credit recovery using Canvas.
Teaching candidates must be able to monitor student progress and communicate progress with the student and parents while assisting with content-related support as needed.
Candidates must hold a valid 6-8 Missouri teaching certification in the required content area for the duration of the summer program for all positions.
Dates of Summer Learning include:
- Staff PD and Workdays on June 5th-June 8th, 2026
- Student learning from June 9th-July 2nd, 2026
- Contract Time Mon-Thurs 7:45am-12:15pm
- NO FRIDAYS & No School June 19th (Juneteenth observed)
- Staff are paid for days worked/hourly; no pay for days not worked
- Prior to June 5th each site will have staff meetings and collaborative planning time for up to an additional 6 hours of pay to be determined by the Administrative Intern
- Positions are contingent upon enrollment
Compensation:
- The School District of University City offers a competitive salary of $32-$34/hr for the summer Teacher
Pay Dates:
- Days worked June 5th-June 18th will be paid on June 26th
- Days worked June 22nd-July 2nd will be paid on July 10th
