Role Description
- Lead swim instruction for students across various age groups
- Oversee water acclimation, survival skills training, and stroke development
- Mentor and support swim instructors during classes and training
- Maintain and enforce all safety protocols and procedures
- Ensure equipment and facilities are properly prepared for lessons
- Collaborate with the management team on program planning and operations
- Create a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment for all students
- Support student progress and encourage confidence in the water
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Swim Instruction, including teaching swim lessons and working with swimmers across skill levels
- Advanced Swimming and Aquatics expertise, including water safety and stroke technique
- Experience with Lifeguarding, including knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response
- Ability to lead and mentor staff, ensuring high-quality instruction standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, parents, and staff effectively
- Current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain them prior to starting
- Previous experience working with children, individuals with special abilities, or in an educational setting is a plus
