Position Overview
As Aquatics Manager, you will oversee daily swim school operations and serve as the primary leader for instructors and deck staff across multiple locations. You will help ensure operational excellence, outstanding customer experiences, and consistent lesson quality while supporting the growth and development of both students and staff.
Responsibilities
As Aquatics Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Manage, train, and support the instructor team
- Ensure instructors report directly to you
- Support hiring of instructors, including recruiting, interviewing, in-water evaluations, and onboarding
- Oversee instructor retention and development
- Oversee daily pool operations
- Ensure consistency and excellence in lesson delivery
- Manage scheduling, shift coverage, and staffing
- Maintain certifications and emergency protocols
- Teach lessons as needed
- Lead water safety outreach and presentations
- Manage student move-ups
- Work closely with instructors in the continuous assessment of student skills to ensure timely and appropriate advancement to the next level
- Build strong relationships with families and maintain high customer satisfaction
- Promote a fun, professional, safe, and positive team culture
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation between locations
- Comfortable working with children and families
- Positive attitude and ability to lead by example
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aquatics, swim instruction, fitness, childcare, education, or youth programs
- 1 year of leadership, coaching, or customer service experience
- Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain after hire)

Job Details
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Weekday evenings and weekends required

Benefits
- Health insurance stipend of $450 per month, or your choice of a health insurance plan through the Massachusetts Health Connector, with a maximum employer contribution of $450 per month
- Paid vacation: 2 weeks (10 paid days) after successful completion of the first 90 days
