What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deck Ambassador/Lifeguard position at British Swim School of the Wasatch Front?
Overview
We’re looking for energetic, safety-focused individuals to join our team as Deck Ambassadors / Lifeguards. In this role, you’ll help create a fun, safe, and welcoming pool environment while providing excellent guest service.
If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and interacting with people, this is a great opportunity to build skills in lifeguarding, customer service, and facility operations.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor pool and deck areas to ensure the safety of all guests
- Enforce pool rules and respond quickly to emergencies
- Provide friendly, helpful service to guests and answer questions
- Check water quality and assist with basic pool maintenance
- Inspect equipment and report safety or maintenance issues
- Administer First Aid and CPR when needed
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Promote a safe, positive, and welcoming atmosphere
What We’re Looking For
- Current Lifeguard Certification, including CPR/AED and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues
- Previous lifeguard or aquatic experience preferred
- Friendly, professional attitude with strong customer service skills
- Reliable, attentive, and safety-minded
- Ability to work outdoors and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to lift equipment and supplies as needed
