Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to ensure healthy and attractive turf.
- Maintain landscape features such as planting beds, shrubs, trees, and flower displays through pruning, trimming, and planting.
- Operate hand tools and power equipment such as trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and excavators safely and efficiently.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including irrigation system installation and repair, hardscape upkeep, and gardening projects.
- Assist with snow plowing and removal during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible.
- Support construction projects related to landscape improvements or hardscape installations using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and landscape features to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in operating landscaping or construction equipment such as excavators and power tools.
- Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, horticulture principles, and tree care methods.
- Experience with gardening tasks including planting, pruning, mulching, and soil preparation.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely; familiarity with power tools is preferred.
- Strong understanding of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects is essential.
- Prior experience in snow plowing or hardscape work is a plus but not required.
