KP707 - 2 ROTA Nannies - NYC/Greenwich, CT/Travel

British American Household Staffing
New York, NY Other
POSTED ON 9/29/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/30/2026

Overview

A discreet, growing family in New York City is seeking a reliable, caring, dynamic, trustworthy, loving ROTA nanny to provide care for their 5-month-old baby and future children. Coverage will be split between 2 ROTA nannies, working 24-hour shifts for (7, 10 or 14) day periods (7/7, 10/10, or 14/14 blocks). The location of the role will be split between NYC and Greenwich, CT. When in NYC, the nanny would live-out (so must have their own local housing), and the schedule will typically be 12 hours per day. When in Greenwich, the nanny would ideally live in, unless commuting is preferred and feasible. While travel isn't a major focus, some flexibility for occasional trips (domestic and international) would be appreciated.

The family are ideally seeking a long-term commitment from candidates, to ensure consistency of care for their children - long-term nannies who are excited to grow with them, who can build a meaningful relationship with their child(ren) and adapt with care as their needs evolve. They’re seeking warm, thoughtful nannies who are truly passionate about child development, dedicated to creating a nurturing and calm environment, and who thrive in collaborative, team-oriented household. This is a deeply valued role in a loving home, with parents who respect and appreciate the unique contributions of a fantastic nanny.

To reiterate, no fly-in/fly-out is possible with this role and the family will not entertain candidates who may know New York well, but are no longer based there.

Both ROTA nannies will ideally be hired by the first week of September at the earliest, and by December 1st at the latest.

Responsibilities

Job duties will include care and engagement of the children in developmentally appropriate activities and outings. Additional duties will include;

  • Provide attentive and high-quality care for a 5-month-old baby (and future children)
  • Follow the baby’s daily routine (feeding, diaper changes, nap times, playtime).
  • Prepare and feed breast milk/formula and introduce solid foods when ready.
  • Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities such as tummy time, sensory play, reading, and music.

  • All typical nursery duties will apply - keeping play areas tidy, keeping on top of supplies, removing old toys/ wardrobe items that no longer fit etc.
  • Ensure safety, comfort, safe sleep practices and clean environment for the baby.
  • Collaborate with parents to develop and implement routines that support the baby's developmental needs and adjust as the baby grows
  • Occasional (domestic/international) travel may be requested to ensure consistent care for the baby during trips. Candidates should take responsibility for packing all essential baby-related items, such as clothing, gear, food, and other necessities. Light housekeeping tasks related to the baby will be expected while traveling.
