What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Construction Site Manager position at Bristol Group, LLC?
The Assistant Site Manager supports the Site Manager and Project Manager in overseeing all phases of the construction project cycle. This includes coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members. This is accomplished through:
Leadership
- Establish foundational trust and lead with the highest level of integrity and respect for all individuals.
- Champion and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Uphold quality standards by monitoring progress, conducting inspections, and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Oversee daily site operations, from initial setup through project completion.
- Ensure labor, materials, and subcontractors are available and scheduled in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Support the Site Manager in directing personnel and subcontractors to minimize delays.
- Maintain clear, effective communication with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships through successful project execution.
- Identify and support business development opportunities aligned with company growth.
Creation / Development / Maintenance
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules and two-week look-ahead schedules in coordination with the Site Manager.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily and weekly reports.
- Maintain field drawings, documentation, and digital databases.
- Create, manage, and track Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Forecast staffing needs in collaboration with the Site Manager.
- Participate in and document weekly project meetings.
- Maintain accountability for assigned project equipment and tools.
Financial Controls
- Assist the Site Manager in monitoring budgets and maintaining financial control of projects.
Success of the Position is Measured By:
- Safety Performance: Zero incidents and full compliance with safety protocols across all jobsites.
- Quality & Rework: Minimal rework costs and consistent adherence to quality standards.
- Schedule: On time project delivery.
- Budget Adherence: Performance relative to project budget.
- Customer Satisfaction: Minimal to no customer complaints.
To perform this job successfully the employee must have the following:
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- The ability to operate a computer, computer networks, common software, and communication devices.
- The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general construction documents, drawings, and details
- The ability to demonstrate a high level of safety/training knowledge
- The ability to manage and lead others
- The ability to understand broad direction and then formulate and execute detailed complex plans to meet that direction
- The ability to make complex judgments in the interest of the company and employees
- Can demonstrate and be considered a leader in company values with forward thinking and a high affinity for progressDuties may also include other related management and engineering activities as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
