Job Summary
Brisbane School District seeks one Spanish Teacher for 2026-2027 school year to teach both elementary and middle school students.
Under the direction of the site principal, the World Language Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction that develops students’ proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the target language. Through communicative and culturally responsive teaching practices in elementary and middle school grades, the teacher fosters language acquisition, intercultural understanding, and global awareness. Instruction emphasizes real-world application, interactive learning, and the integration of authentic materials to support meaningful communication.

Requirements / Qualifications
MATERIALS
- Valid, Single Subject Credential in World Language, authorizing to teach Spanish
- Experience teaching in grades TK-8

Individuals must be authorized or eligible to teach in California. Please submit a copy of your valid CA teaching credential or documents that show your immediate eligibility for a CA teaching credential. All applicants must have the authorization to teach English language learners.

Comments and Other Information
Placement on the salary schedule is subject to determination by the Superintendent and will be based on the candidate's verified educational qualifications and professional experience. Official transcripts must be provided to substantiate the candidate’s placement on the salary schedule. The salary range stated above reflects compensation for full-time, year-long teaching assignments and will be adjusted on a prorated basis in accordance with the start date of employment and FTE.
The final candidate will be required to undergo fingerprinting at the district's expense, as mandated by California law. Additionally, prior to the commencement of employment, the candidate must present recent documentation confirming freedom from active tuberculosis.
