About the Role

As our Client Engagement Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for people navigating significant life changes, whether seeking support through divorce and custody matters or taking steps toward family growth through surrogacy, fertility, or adoption.

This role focuses on clear, efficient client communication: listening to understand needs, showing respect for their situation, and guiding the conversation toward next steps without unnecessary delay or sales pressure. You’ll meet with prospective clients to understand their needs, explain our legal services in plain terms, and help them feel informed and supported as they decide on next steps.

Once clients choose to hire the firm, you will manage a warm and seamless onboarding process: preparing engagement agreements, organizing materials for upcoming consultations, setting expectations, and checking in after their first week and first month to ensure their confidence and satisfaction. You’ll also maintain supportive contact with potential clients who are still deciding, letting them know our door remains open when they are ready.

You will play an important role in ensuring each client interaction is smooth and well-prepared, supporting both the client experience and the efficiency of the legal team. You will also capture valuable feedback from these interactions and share insights with firm leadership and marketing teams to enhance client experience and outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Connect with prospective clients to learn about their needs and educate them about the firm’s services (without providing legal advice or quoting fees)
  • Oversee client onboarding, ensuring clear communication, organized documentation, and a smooth handoff to the legal team
  • Prepare and coordinate materials for client consultations to support efficient and productive meetings
  • Maintain relationships with potential clients who have not yet retained the firm, offering supportive follow-up communication
  • Track client interactions and maintain accurate, well-organized records in the firm’s CRM system
  • Support day-to-day office flow through light administrative coordination related to client intake and scheduling
  • Provide feedback to leadership and marketing teams regarding client experience and marketing effectiveness, suggesting improvements as needed
  • Always lead with active listening, empathy, and accountability in every client interaction

Qualifications

  • 2 years demonstrated success selling luxury, high-end, or professional services
  • Proven experience in consultative, solutions-oriented sales
  • Experience with CRM systems, including reporting and pipeline management
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Life experience fostering empathy and understanding for clients in emotionally charged or complex situations
  • Familiarity with the legal industry is a plus but not required
