Role Overview: Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for a Staff Accountant. Our real estate client located in downtown Chicago is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. They are seeking a candidate that has 3 years of accounting experience, brings strong Microsoft Excel skills, and is a collaborative team player. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately!
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Month-End Close
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Perform monthly and annual account reconciliations
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of the general ledger
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Support internal and external audit requests
Qualifications:
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Index)
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
- Advanced attention to detail and analytical skills
