Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Mundelein, IL (100% Onsite)
Pay Range: $30/HR-$33/HR (Based on skills & qualifications)

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for a Staff Accountant with our client located in Mundelein, IL. Our client is a well-established organization who specializes in manufacturing various petroleum. They recently have experienced an exponential amount of growth and are looking for a qualified Staff Accountant to join their team on a Contract to Hire basis. This Staff Accountant would be primarily responsible for handling journal entries, account reconciliations, and assisting with budgets and monthly forecasts. The Staff Accountant would be reporting directly to the VP of Finance and would ideally be able to interview and start shortly after.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly closing activities including excel reports and packages
• Perform GL account analysis and journal entries
• Evaluate the financial statements and reports for accuracy and identify problem areas and suggest methods of correction
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts for the company
• Maintain fixed asset log with depreciation and lapsing schedules for both book and tax
• Prepare and distribute daily reports
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

• Manufacturing industry experience required
• 4 years of month end experience required
• Technical skills in account reconciliation; and month-end close responsibilities.
• Advanced proficiency within Microsoft Excel
