Responsibilities:
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts.
- Participates in continuous improvement of accounting process and procedures.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Manage timely Month End Close Process.
- Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and statement of cash flows.
- Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts.
- Maintains and balances and automated consolidation system by inputting data.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports.
- Sales and payroll tax filing and compliance in Avalara.
- Review expense reports and process them within the expense platform by approving and importing into accounting system.
- Prepare monthly commissions for in house sales staff and outside representatives.
- Maintain and update accurate record of inventory in the financial system.
- Assist with payroll administration duties, including payroll journal entry
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field is required.
- 2 years of experience in General Accounting
- Knowledge of general financial accounting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in A2000 ERP is preferred but not required.
- Experience in Avalara is preferred but not required.
- Experience with general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members.
