Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of vacation rental units, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Handle various cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, and sanitizing surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Manage chemical agent handling safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper storage procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting when moving furniture or equipment to ensure spaces are accessible and well-maintained.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols and emergency procedures to ensure safety and compliance at all times.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by cleaning and disinfecting all areas according to industry best practices.
• Use industrial cleaning tools and janitorial equipment effectively to maximize efficiency and quality of service.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are well-maintained, stocked, and stored securely.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or special cleaning needs with professionalism and courtesy.

Experience

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems is preferred but not required.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely, including understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques such as stripping, sealing, waxing, and buffing floors is advantageous.
• Prior experience with hotel emergency procedures ensures safety during unforeseen incidents.
• Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely in accordance with safety standards.
• Strong background in sanitation practices within hospitality settings or similar environments is highly valued.
