Process Technician (CNC Drill Focus)

Position Scope
As a Drill operator, you will play a key role in the fabrication of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This position involves hands-on operation of equipment and materials used in the manufacturing process, with an initial focus on CNC drill operation. You will receive on-the-job training in several core processes, which may include:
- Operating Excellon printed circuit board CNC drill machines
- Material handling (cutting and prepping for drilling)
- Material preparation and cleaning (pumice scrubbing and cleaning)
- Cross-training in additional operations as needed
You will work under the guidance of experienced technicians and supervisors, with an emphasis on precision, cleanliness, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Drill PCB materials with precision and accuracy
- Perform depth milling, counterboring, and countersinking on PCB materials
- Conduct internal and external routing of PCB materials
- Inspect mechanical features of drilled/milled PCBs to ensure they meet specifications
- Clean and prepare circuit board laminates for dry film lamination
- Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Excellon CNC drill operation and programming (qualifies for higher starting pay)
- Familiarity with process documentation
- Flexibility and willingness to cross-train in other processes
- CAM/CAD experience (qualifies for higher starting pay)
- Experience working in AS9100 aerospace manufacturing environment
Required Skills
- Ability to use or open to learning the use of measuring tools such as micrometers, caliper veneers, and pin gauges.
- Comfortable working with hands and standing for extended periods
- Solid general math skills for applied manufacturing tasks
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay Range
- $20–$25/hour
- Full-time
- Top-end pay is available for candidates with experience in Excellon CNC drilling/programming, CAD/CAM, and AutoCAD
