Position: Samples CNC Operator

Job Type: Temp to Hire

Pay: $19.00

Hours: 1st shift: 6:30am - 3:30pm with occasional overtime

Location: Gilberts, IL

We're looking for a detail-oriented Samples CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team! In this role, you'll operate a Zund CNC machine to produce high-quality prototype and sample parts while working closely with Production Engineers and Designers. Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up a Zund CNC machine to produce sample and prototype parts.
• Load and unload materials from CNC tables.
• Verify dimensions and perform first article inspections to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as needed.
• Replace cutting blades and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and fabrication documents.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Collaborate with Production Engineers and Designers to resolve file or design issues.
• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing or production experience required.
• CNC machine operation experience required; digital fabrication or prototyping experience is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable using computer systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods.
• Must be able to read and write English.
