Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Support
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and case managers handling personal injury matters.
- Prepare, draft, review, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and case-related materials.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate and schedule client meetings, depositions, hearings, and court appearances.
- Manage attorney calendars and track critical case deadlines.
- Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, and court personnel.
- Assist with new client intake, including gathering documentation and case information.
- Monitor case progress and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items.
Front Desk & Office Administration
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing a professional and welcoming experience.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Maintain an organized and professional reception area.
- Assist with general administrative and office support functions as needed.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably within personal injury, litigation, or a law firm environment.
- Previous front desk, receptionist, or customer-facing experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Professional demeanor with exceptional client service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting personal injury cases from intake through settlement.
- Knowledge of Michigan court filing procedures and legal processes.
- Experience handling medical records, liens, billing documentation, and related case materials.
- Familiarity with legal case management software.
Salary : $46,000 - $48,000
