POSITION SUMMARY:
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure on commercial and light industrial job sites. This includes EV work, service upgrades, and general electrical construction. This role requires working independently or as part of a crew while maintaining a high standard of safety, quality and professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform EV charger and electrical equipment installations per code and site requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to complete tasks accurately
- Lead small crews and guide apprentice electricians as needed
- Coordinate work with site supervisors, project managers, and inspectors.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites and follow all safety policies.
- Document labor, material usage, and project progress through standard reporting tools
- Communicate clearly with peers, customers, and supervisors on site status and needs
- Identify material shortages or changes in scope and alert leadership
- Support equipment use and inventory management at job sites and warehouse.
COMPETENCIES/REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 4 to 6 years of verifiable experience in commercial or industrial electrical work
- Proficient in conduit bending, wire pulling, panel wiring and fixture installation.
- Familiarity with EV charger installs and related infrastructure preferred
- Ability to read electrical drawings, understand NEC and local code requirements
- Strong communication skills and commitment to safe work practices
- Able to lift to 75lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying conditions.
