High Voltage Technician (MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO GREATER DAYTON AREA)

The High Voltage Technician plays a critical hands-on role supporting the assembly, operation, and reliability of high-voltage manufacturing equipment within a production environment. This position is responsible for maintaining process equipment performance, resolving equipment issues, and supporting validation activities to ensure safe, consistent, and efficient manufacturing operations. The role partners closely with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Controls, and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on assembly and setup of manufacturing equipment and systems to meet production and quality requirements
  • Execute routine manufacturing process tasks, including material dispensing oversight, line checks, and basic process monitoring
  • Maintain equipment availability by responding to alarms, clearing faults, and restoring automated systems to operation
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and safety-related issues impacting production performance and efficiency
  • Utilize HMI systems to identify alarms, analyze faults, and resolve process interruptions
  • Escalate recurring or complex issues to Manufacturing leadership with detailed observations and recommendations
  • Conduct equipment inspections and initiate corrective, preventive, or emergency work orders through the CMMS system
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities aligned with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) standards
  • Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, safety, cost reduction, and throughput
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process enhancements and equipment improvements
  • Support Maintenance teams during troubleshooting and repair activities across manufacturing equipment
  • Assist Controls and Engineering teams with diagnostics, repairs, and system optimization efforts
  • Review and support updates to area documentation, including procedures, job plans, logs, and audit records
  • Participate in PFMEA activities and work instruction reviews as required
  • Enter production, maintenance, and process data into Plex and other manufacturing systems
  • Support development of equipment specifications and technical requirements
  • Assist with training operators and technicians on equipment operation and standard work
  • Independently support equipment and process validation activities
  • Provide support for weekend, overtime, and off-shift operations as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow ergonomic guidelines and safe work practices
  • Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree or coursework in mechanical, electrical, or engineering-related fields preferred
  • Experience handling high-voltage or electrical components, battery manufacturing, or similar environments strongly preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment
  • At least two (2) years of ABS or comparable regulated manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and process schematics
  • Proficiency with test and measurement tools such as multimeters, calipers, and micrometers
  • Demonstrated advanced mechanical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and industrial electrical control systems
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint preferred
  • Willingness to work varying shifts and overtime as required
  • Ability to travel domestically when needed
  • Consistent and reliable attendance required
