Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor - Home Health Care
Location: San Diego, CA (In-Person role)
Salary Range: $50-$52/hour
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: Flexible, 10-20 hours/week

Work arrangement: In person (In office and out in the field)
Work setting: This position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor who is comfortable working in an office environment and out in the field providing client assessments and creating care plans. They feel comfortable in developing processes and education, both to clients and staff. It is preferred that the candidate be local to San Diego and able to commute to work comfortably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coach our care-giving team, promoting high standards of care.
- Plans and implements in-service and training programs.
- Conduct initial and follow-up nursing assessments to determine individualized care needs.
- Case Management - Prepares patient care plan and reviews summaries of patient care.
- Reviews the maintenance of client reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities.
- Ensure client care plans, and regulatory compliance meet local, state, and federal requirements.
- Assists leadership team in the development of organization goals.
- Develops, recommends, and administers agency policies and procedures.
- Stay current on home care regulations, best practices, and industry trends.
- Actively promote BrightStar Care services within the healthcare community.
- Provides care as defined within the scope of California’s Nurse Practice Act.
- Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
Qualifications:
License: Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (Required)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program (Highly Preferred)
Other
- In-depth knowledge of California’s Nurse Practice Act and state/federal regulations
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Training skills
- Adherence to HIPAA and client confidentiality guidelines
- Minimum one year of documented health care experience is required
- Home Care experience highly desirable
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Driver’s License
- Transportation with proof of auto insurance
- Empathy for the needs of the client
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
- Treats clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.
- Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information.
