Registered Nurse - Infusions 1:1 in the Home

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide hands-on clinical care including in-home infusions, injections, wound care, assessments, patient education, and care coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse who enjoys working independently, building relationships with patients and families, and using strong clinical judgment in a home-care environment.

The ideal Registered Nurse candidate will have strong IV skills and feel confident providing care autonomously in a home setting. You should be comfortable working with patients across the lifespan, from pediatric through geriatric populations, and have experience or confidence with wound care, including pressure wounds, dressing changes, and wound vacs.

Patient locations will be throughout Kansas and Missouri.

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide professional clinical input on medically complex cases and support assigned nursing staff.
• Assess, plan, and implement appropriate healthcare services in conjunction with physicians, families, and other caregivers.
• Develop plans of treatment for physician signature and update them according to state regulations or whenever patient orders change.
• Manage your own caseload and coordinate your schedule of patient visits.
• Provide in-home training and competency checks for new nursing staff.
• Perform care according to each client’s individual Plan of Care and within the scope of the applicable state Nurse Practice Act.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly notify physicians of significant changes.
• Provide education to patients, families, and others involved in the patient’s care plan.
• Perform in-home infusions, injections, wound care, dressing changes, and wound-vac care as appropriate.
• Complete electronic clinical documentation in real time during patient visits and submit documentation promptly to the Clinical Manager.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Follow all applicable company policies, state requirements, and Joint Commission standards.

Additional requirements include:

• Current, unrestricted RN license in both Kansas and Missouri.
• Strong IV/infusion skills.
• Experience or competency with wound care.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong electronic documentation skills.
• Confidence training and mentoring new nurses in the home setting.
• Reliable vehicle and current auto insurance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross. We offer a BLS class at a reduced cost if needed.
• Negative TB test within the past year.
• Clean background and criminal record.
• Laptop or tablet suitable for electronic charting in the patient’s home.
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA requirements and maintain strict client confidentiality.
