What You’ll Do
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), you will:
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising therapist.
- Assist patients with exercises and mobility techniques to improve strength, coordination, and independence.
- Observe, document, and report patient progress or changes to the supervising therapist and physician.
- Educate patients and their families on safe mobility practices and use of assistive equipment.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with BrightStar Care standards.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current, valid Massachusetts license to practice as a PTA or OTA.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience; home health experience preferred.
