Our client is a rapidly growing clean energy developer deploying utility-scale, carbon-free power generation projects across North America. Following significant recent growth and capital investment, the company is expanding its engineering organization to support a growing project portfolio.
The Opportunity
This role will own the engineering, procurement, and delivery of turbomachinery systems across a portfolio of utility-scale power generation facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for turboexpander-generator package scope, including associated auxiliaries, electrical systems, piping, and foundations.
This is a fleet-level role with responsibility for technical execution, vendor management, standardization efforts, and engineering leadership across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering, procurement, and delivery of turbomachinery systems from design through commissioning
- Serve as the primary technical interface with OEMs and equipment suppliers
- Manage equipment scope, schedule, budget, and performance
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement across projects
- Lead and develop a cross-functional engineering team
- Coordinate with internal engineering, construction, procurement, and operations teams
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 7 years of experience in rotating equipment or turbomachinery engineering
- Direct ownership of turbine, compressor, turboexpander, or similar equipment package scopes
- Experience managing OEM relationships and major equipment procurement
- Strong leadership and project execution capabilities
- Experience with turboexpanders, steam turbines, gas turbines, or compressor systems
- OEM, EPC, utility, or independent power producer experience preferred
- Experience developing engineering standards and scalable equipment solutions is a plus
