What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Project Engineer position at Tri-Sen Turbomachinery Controls?
The candidate will design and commission quality, engineered solutions for control of turbomachinery.
Responsibilities
- Review of project scope and budget
- Design schedules and project execution plans
- Creation of Functional Design Documents
- Lead design review meetings with customers
- Apply mechanical and electro-hydraulic products to customer equipment
- Create component and project documentation with SolidWorks 3D CAD software
- Conduct technical evaluation of vendor-supplied mechanical components and services
- Design and/or select tools and equipment for assembly and test of products
- Develop factory acceptance test (FAT) procedures
- Participate and lead FAT
- Commissioning of equipment/systems at customer sites
- Provide technical input and man-hour estimates to support sales quotations
- Site survey pre-sale to help determine scope of work for retrofits
- Coordination with Tri-Sen global project teams on company standards
- Travel 20% (USA and International)
Necessary Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience using MS Project, Excel, Visio, SolidWorks 3D CAD software or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years experience in hydraulic control project execution
- minimum 3 years experience with turbomachinery controls
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in Turbo Machinery control applications such as gas turbines, steam turbines, motor drives (VFD, induction and synchronous), compressor anti-surge, and vibration monitoring
- Experience with PLC (Rockwell, Triconex, Siemens, etc.) hardware and programming
- Bently Nevada configuration experience
