Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans aligned with educational standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional development.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance.
- Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Facilitate communication using methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) when appropriate, to support deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
- Prepare classroom materials, set up learning stations, and maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to active learning.
- Monitor student progress and document observations related to development goals outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers on lesson planning, curriculum development, and assessment strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings or preschool environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, teachers, and support staff.
- Ability to adapt activities for children with diverse learning needs and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
