We're seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to ensure our residential facilities operate safely and efficiently. This part-time position requires travel between our 5 locations in Burnsville, Apple Valley, and Brooklyn Park to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance at all residential facilities
- Complete minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance maintenance
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests on short notice
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Ensure facilities meet all safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs when needed
- Assist with seasonal tasks (snow removal, lawn care coordination, etc.)
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Support compliance with 245D regulations through proper facility upkeep
- Other duties as assigned
- 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance tasks
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule (20-25 hours/week)
- Professional, respectful approach when working in residential environments
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Experience in residential or healthcare facilities maintenance
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of 245D regulations or similar compliance frameworks
- Previous work in environments serving individuals with disabilities
