Position Overview
The Service Department Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all service operations supporting customers across industrial and medical air system applications. This role ensures the successful delivery of maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, repair, and emergency service activities while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, technician productivity, and departmental profitabilit
y.The position has overall responsibility for day-to-day service operations, including quoting, job scheduling, purchase order management, parts coordination, vendor relationships, technician deployment, and service department financial performance. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compressed air systems service operations, industrial service management, or a related field service leadership role.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Air Compressors
- Air Dryers and Air Treatment Systems
- Chillers
- Vacuum Systems
- Blower Systems
- Industrial and Medical Air Applications
- Proven experience in service quoting, job costing, scheduling, and operational planning.
- Demonstrated success managing service department profitability and P&L performance.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship management skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems, service dispatch software, and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for an air compressor distributor or manufacturer-authorized service provider.
- Familiarity with medical air and vacuum system requirements, including exposure to NFPA 99 standards
- Technical certifications or OEM training related to compressed air equipment
