Responsibilities
- Lead financial statement and compliance audit engagements from planning through completion.
- Manage multiple client engagements while ensuring quality, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
- Review financial statements and audit workpapers for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide technical guidance on accounting, auditing, and compliance matters.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional service.
- Identify and resolve complex accounting and financial reporting issues.
- Ensure engagement quality control and adherence to professional standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA required or strongly preferred; CFE certification is a plus.
- Strong public accounting audit experience with progressively increasing responsibilities.
- Experience auditing governmental and/or nonprofit organizations is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of GASB standards is a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and lead audit teams.
