Job Title: Senior Die Cast Engineer

Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in die casting processes, materials, and tooling, with a proven track record of leading projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires strict adherence to US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop die casting processes and tooling for new products.
- Lead and manage die casting projects from concept to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and performance.
- Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and production staff.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in die casting technology.
- Travel to other plants in Monticello, MN, and Watertown, SD to support manufacturing across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a related manufacturing and/or engineering environment.
- Knowledge of foundry methodologies.
- Experience in process development or manufacturing engineering related to aluminum die casting.
- Knowledge of casting dies, metal pouring, critical control parameters, part removal, deburring, etc.
- Experience with thermal control and process optimization.
- Familiarity with statistical techniques.
- Proficient in problem-solving.
- Proficient in the use of electronic systems and software. CAD experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of measuring equipment.
