Position Summary
Brighton Corporation is looking for an entry-level IT Systems and Support Specialist who enjoys helping people, learning new technology, and solving problems one step at a time. You will support employees with everyday technology needs while building practical experience with business systems, networks, cloud services, and security tools.
You will work closely with the IT Manager and Network and Helpdesk Lead. The team will provide guidance, documentation, and hands-on training as you grow into the role. You will not be expected to know every system on your first day.
If you are beginning your IT career and have built relevant skills through coursework, certifications, an internship, customer service, a home lab, volunteer work, or personal projects, we encourage you to apply.
This is an onsite position in Meridian, Idaho. Normal working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
After training, the role may participate in an on-call rotation for urgent after-hours issues. Planned maintenance outside normal working hours may occasionally be required and will be scheduled in advance whenever possible.
Travel is expected to be less than 5%, primarily to nearby company locations.

Employee Support
- Respond to employee requests with patience, professionalism, and a helpful attitude.
- Troubleshoot common Windows, Microsoft 365, printing, mobile device, account, and connectivity issues.
- Set up computers, monitors, phones, and other equipment for new and existing employees.
- Explain solutions clearly to people with different levels of technical experience.
- Document completed work and share useful solutions with the IT team.
- Recognize when an issue needs to be escalated and provide clear information to the teammate taking it over.
- Assist with user accounts, permissions, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and Group Policy Tasks.
- Review monitoring and backup alerts, complete routine checks, and escalate concerns.
- Help maintain accurate system documentation, equipment records, and support procedures.
- Assist experienced team members with servers, networks, wireless access points, firewalls, storage, patching, backups, and security improvements.
- Participate in IT projects and gradually take ownership of additional responsibilities as your skills develop.
What You Bring/ Education/ Experience:
- Up to one year of related experience. Candidates entering the field are welcome to apply.
- Basic familiarity with Windows computers, common software, and how devices connect to a network.
- A genuine interest in technology and a willingness to learn unfamiliar tools.
- A thoughtful approach to troubleshooting, including asking questions and documenting what you tried.
- Clear, respectful communication and a service-oriented approach to helping employees.
- Organization, dependable follow-through, and care when handling confidential information.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel occasionally between nearby company locations.
Helpful Experience

- Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, or Group Policy
- Windows 11 and basic Apple or macOS support
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, switches, or VLAN concepts
- Computer setup, component replacement, or equipment inventory
- Ticketing, remote-support, endpoint-management, or monitoring tools
- PowerShell, Python, or another scripting language
- CompTIA A , Network , Security , Microsoft, or similar training or certification
- You enjoy helping people and creating a positive support experience.
- You are curious, dependable, and comfortable asking questions.
- You learn from feedback and share what you learn with teammates.
- You pay attention to details without losing sight of the employee who needs help.
- You can work through a problem independently while knowing when to collaborate or escalate.
- You stay organized and communicate when priorities or timelines change.
