IT Support Specialist - Nampa

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides support to end users on a variety of IT issues. Installs, maintains and troubleshoots standard hardware and software on Terry Reilly computer systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Provides user support for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and all other authorized programs installed on Terry Reilly computers.
2. Maintains and updates computer systems inventory to include hardware type, location, installed software, software licenses, installed patches, and the last date maintenance was performed.
3. Performs regular maintenance on computer systems. Includes physical cleaning as well as temporary file removal, defragmenting hard disks, and installation of appropriate software patches.
4. Develops schedule to ensure maintenance is performed on all computers on a routine basis. Coordinates with users to limit workflow interruption.
5. Identifies, researches, and resolves computer-related technical problems.
6. Responds to telephone calls, email, IT Work Order requests and personnel requests for technical support.
7. Assists Information Technology Director in troubleshooting phone problems and coordination of installations and changes with phone vendor.
8. Assists Information Technology Director with network installations and changes.
9. Downloads, tests, and installs patches for all software installed on Terry Reilly computers.
10. Documents and removes unapproved and/or unlicensed software from all Terry Reilly computers.
11. Documents, tracks and monitors regular maintenance and problem resolution.
12. Creates and maintains network and e-mail accounts and passwords.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience with Windows Clients, Microsoft Office, and basic LAN/WAN concepts.
2. Proven customer service skills and ability to follow up, multitask, and prioritize.
3. Strong organizational skills, attention to details and follow-up skills.
4. Self-starter and a problem solver.
5. Capable of working with minimal supervision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience providing user support for Microsoft Windows and Windows-based applications.
2. Experience maintaining and repairing computer hardware.
